Morning Pages ~ Hitch up the Bootstraps of your Soul!
In 2013, just after I graduated from my undergrad, a good friend of mine introduced Julia Cameron’s book, The Artist’s Way, to me. After finishing a gruesomely long 5 year stretch of memorize-n-purge, The Artist’s Wayrooted me back into my passions. I began Cameron’s 12 week program enthusiastically, and dived into various visual art mediums and (finally) began playing guitar and singing again.
Victoria Cox, a writer for Elephant Journal, posted an article about her experience with Cameron’s, The Artist’s Way.
“For it is in cultivating those first moments of the morning to check in with the deepest parts of ourselves that we can begin to bear witness to who we really are, warts and all. What makes us tick, what ticks us off, our deepest feelings or our superficial yearnings.”
Give Cox’s article a read through, and maybe, just maybe, The Artist’s Way could hitch up the bootstraps to your soul too!
Why Morning Pages Could Be Your Most Powerful Morning Ritual
You’ll find Julia Cameron’s, The Complete Artist’s Way, under my Tool Box page, where I go into a little more detail about what her series offered me, and how I believe her books could change your life too!
“Wherever you are is always the right place. There is never a need to fix anything, to hitch up the bootstraps of the soul and start at some higher place. Start right where you are.” – Julia Cameron
